The Things Kids Say

as some of you know, we recently sold our just-got-a-job-out-of-college-or-maybe-just-joined-the-military-and-have-money-to-spend car to ‘downgrade’ to a more efficient, less expensive vehicle.

the vehicle we chose to purchase was a toyota yaris. thus far we are very happy with said purchase and recommend it to all sorts of people.

so last sunday kelly and i were walking out to our car after church and were met by a familiar little guy who always says the most wonderfully comical things.

hi mrs. pensiero, hi geno.

hi buddy.

is that your car?

it sure is buddy.

is it a porsche?

you know what buddy? it isn’t a porsche. but it IS a foreign car.

it is?

it sure is buddy. our car is japanese.

really?

yep. except, nowadays lots of japanese cars are made in america and lots of american cars are made in places like mexico and guatemala.

{blank stare}

i like your car.

thanks buddy.

i think we may have confused him, but at least he’s another young toyota fan.
