you remember positive post tuesday right?

this week’s canon of positivity is pointed directly at my good friend, sean munoz.

i met sean his freshman year of college when i….actually, come to think of it, i met sean before he started school at FPU. i was in a music theory class with sean’s brother, jason, and sean came for a visit one day.

the problem for those of us who were…less gifted in music theory was two-fold: sean is multi-instrumental and sean has perfect pitch. it was a rough day for those of us that were trying to convince our professor we weren’t a total waste of musical time.

little did i know, sean’s musicality would serve me well for many years to come. just before the school year started sean auditioned to drum for the college hour worship team. luckily, we needed a drummer.

we also needed a piano player.

sometimes we needed another acoustic guitar player.

sean can do all those things (and many more) very well.

sean and i also shared a number of classes together, because FPU is very small and we were both political science majors.

we became very close for all those reasons and more. for one thing, we pretty much have the exact same sense of humor. for another, we both would rather work 100 years in a coal mine than have to play a taylor guitar.

i enjoy having sean come and do some worship with me when we can…he always makes brilliant suggestions at just the right time during rehearsals.

i also enjoy talking to sean about the Lord. he is truly grounded and purposeful about his relationship with Jesus Christ.

sean also has a band called Until April. i’m looking forward to hearing the cd they’ve been recording (they’re also looking for a drummer, so if you are one/know one, go to sean’s blog and let him know).
