Now, in studying God’s word you should be encouraged to know that in order to glean incredible insights and depths in your study all you need to have is a Bible and the indwelling Holy Spirit. it is incorrect to think that those 2 criteria are insufficient for a real, true, deep and intimate discovery of God’s word.

however, there are a vast number of tools available to we students and some that can aid in study to a certain degree. i will try to list them by importance (or at least priority in my own mind). all of these resources are free unless otherwise noted.

1. Inductive Bible Study - if you ever have the good fortune to attend an IBS seminar taught by Pastor Dan Finfrock i highly, highly recommend it. this anointed ministry has been operating for almost 30 years all over the world. if you can not attend a class as taught by Dan you can purchase the audio cds or the dvds, or you can be on the lookout for an IBS class at calvary hanford.

2. E-Sword - Matthew 10.8 says “freely you received, freely give.” that is the basis for this unbelievable free Bible program. with it you can read dozens of Bible translations, many commentaries, Bible dictionaries, maps, devotionals, make your own study notes, compare passages and much, much more. e-sword is a must for windows users (sorry mac kids…maybe someday). there is no comparison for the ease and quality of this program. visit the software home page for some screen shots.
